Who We Are

We are not the usual book-writing types and, on the face of it, we have nothing in common except  our  lack  of  qualifications,  fame  or notoriety and the fact that we were both born in the same year – 1950.

Alan is a man born in Coventry, in the Midlands of England, to a working class family. He was destined,  like  his  father,  to  work  in  the engineering industry in Coventry.  Indeed, his early  adulthood  was  spent  working  in engineering until boredom and restlessness moved him on.

Micheline is a woman, born near London where her early life was shaped by the experience of disability,  keeping  her  corralled  in  the segregated world of ‘special needs’ and then as a trainee graphic illustrator, until boredom and restlessness moved her on.

We  are  two  very  different  people  bought together  by  our  common  desire  to  see  a systemic,  political  change  in  the  way  we organise ourselves globally. We believe human life could be so much better than it is and that this better world is worth striving for.
